The Fed and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have issued a notice for Voyager to stop misleading its customers.
Regulators have ordered Voyager Digital to stop making false statements that the company is insured by the government.
The Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation said in a statement released today that if the company fails, it must cease any assertion that its clients’ funds will be protected.
Regulators said these statements were made on purpose and that customers who deposited their funds with Voyager rely on it.
Voyager Digital filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this month.
