Muhammet Şamil Gürcü, who lives and works as a lawyer in Bursa, was stopped during one of the routine checks carried out by the traffic police on his way from Gemlik to the center on July 14. Unfortunately, the police could not help Georgia, who told the traffic police that she did not drink alcohol that day. Police teams, who had to take action according to the device, both confiscated Georgia’s driver’s license and blocked his vehicle from traffic.
It took 2.5 months for him to get his driver’s license back, which was taken for 6 months:
After this incident, Georgian went to a private hospital and had a blood test. Proving that there was no alcohol in his blood, Gürcü took the proof that the breathalyzer device could make wrong measurements from time to time, and went to the Gemlik Criminal Judgeship of Peace with his lawyer Şehmus Uluç.
Here, the Georgian objecting to the said decision was found to be right and was able to save both his vehicle and his license. After these procedures, which took 2.5 months in total, Georgian said that he rinsed his mouth with mouthwash because he ate tzatziki and left the house.
In addition to this, Gürcü said that the alcohol meters in question can give incorrect values from time to time, and that these devices can give erroneous results for different reasons if they are not calibrated.
It is true that there is some alcohol in mouthwashes. Of course, there are also non-alcoholic ones. In this case, Georgian, who has experienced the adventures in question with the mouthwash he has just used, if he used alcohol, he would have to pay the fine and his driver’s license would be confiscated for 6 months.
