XRP’s price is soaring after a federal judge ruled that Ripple (XRP) could go ahead with one of its key arguments against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As Kriptokoin.com, we have compiled the details for you, let’s examine the subject together…

There are last-minute developments in the Ripple case: XRP has skyrocketed!

Court documents show that Judge Analisa Torres rejected the SEC’s motion to prevent Ripple from using a “Fair Notice Defense”. The San Francisco-based payments firm has long argued that the SEC did not provide adequate notice to Ripple that the agency considered XRP a security. XRP has increased by more than 15% in the past with the latest developments.

In an interview with Fox News, Ripple general counsel Stuart Alderoty said the order highlights the validity of Ripple’s argument. Stuart Alderoty commented:

Today’s order confirms the serious question of whether the SEC has given Ripple a fair notice that distributions of XRP will be prohibited under securities laws since 2013. We will continue to fight hard to defend this case so that the industry can get the clarity it deserves to move forward and thrive.

Important XRP decisions from Judge Torres!

Additionally, Judge Torres rejects Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and co-founder Chris Larsen’s motion to dismiss the SEC’s individual charges against them. Alderoty said he was confident the SEC’s claims would be dismissed. Stuart Alderoty commented on the matter:

We would have preferred the cases against Brad and Chris to end now, but the Court has decided that the SEC should prove their claims. We are confident that eventually all of the SEC’s claims will be dismissed.
