Unfortunately, one of the most disadvantaged points of women is chest diseases. However, the disease we will focus on today is not only seen in women, but also in men.

Amasti is a disease given to the congenital absence of nipples. You may not have heard of this term until now. Because it is an extremely rare disease and it is seen in the breast area, it is not possible for you to witness it unless you or your relatives do not have this disease.

People with amasty don’t have nipples and areolas.

First of all, let’s say that amastin is divided into two different categories as single breast and double breast. Unliteral (unidirectional) amast means the absence of only one breast, while bilateral (bidirectional) amast means that there are no tips in both breasts. In addition, in cases of unliteral amastiy, the person’s pectoral muscles (pectoral muscles) are also anomaly.

In fact, the full meaning of amastin is the absence of not only the nipple, but also the dark and lumpy area (areola) on the breast. In other words, people with this disease had a breast structure that is opposite to the breast and tip structure that we are accustomed to until today.

The situation is more difficult for women who want to have children

Amasti is a congenital disease. In other words, it is not a disorder that develops later, like amazia, which is often confused with amasti. Men with this disorder do not face many difficulties in daily life. Unfortunately, we cannot say that the situation is the same for women.

As you can imagine, one of the biggest problems that women with amasti will experience will be breastfeeding. Unfortunately, it is not possible for women who want to have children and then breastfeed their children to do such a thing. Because of amasti, the formation of milk lines is prevented and therefore the expectant mother cannot produce milk.

Amasti is also referred to as Poland Syndrome.

Poland syndrome is a diagnosis made for people who have Amasti and an abnormality in the arm, leg, collarbone, and rib (costochondral). In other words, if a person has amasti and all these anomalies that come with birth, the person is described as having Poland’s syndrome.

Although there is no cure for amastin, patients with Poland’s syndrome are usually treated after puberty. Within the scope of this treatment, corrections are applied to the areas with anomalies by using techniques such as muscle transplantation, fat injection and even the use of prosthesis.
